Microprecision Follicular Grafting The Evolution of Hair
Evolution of Naturalness With the Microprecision Follicular Grafting® technique, it is absolutely impossible to get that "pluggy" look that you may have seen in the past. Hair on the top of the head grows in follicular units of one, two, three hairs and occasionally follicular units of four hairs. So it makes perfect sense that if one was to restore their lost hair, it should be replicated in the same format to produce a totally natural result. However, there are only a select few hair transplant practices worldwide that provide the experience and knowledge to perfect and perform this technique. Advanced Medical Institute is one of them. A Specialized Technique It is unfortunate for the general public that some clinics, in an attempt to mislead the consumer, claim that this technique utilizes only "single hair grafts" and therefore does not produce adequate density and is not cost effective. The reality is that this technique is simply the most natural hair transplantation technique in the world. The "single hair grafts" are only used in the very front hairline otherwise referred to as the hairline transition zone, which is only approximately 1/4" in width. Then follicular grafts of twos and threes and some fours are integrated in behind the totally natural looking front hairline. Some medical practices claim "larger" grafts will produce more density. What they don't tell you is that although the density may appear fuller from afar, upon close inspection under elements of wind, rain, or wet hair, your hair would separate, and the "clumpy" nature of the grafts would be apparent and appear very unnatural. At Advanced Hair Institute, we believe "naturalness is key". We would rather increase one's density through additional procedures if necessary. That way your hair always looks natural and not "clumpy". With the Microprecision Follicular Grafting® technique performed at Advanced Medical Institute, the excess tissue is removed from the actual hair follicles. Then the hair follicles are placed into micro-incisions, which are essentially very tiny slits. When healed, these micro-incisions are virtually imperceptible. Subsequent Procedures At Advanced Hair Institute, if a patient would like to increase the density by having an additional procedure, we recommend allowing a minimum of six to eight months to allow totally accurate placement of the new grafts in between the new hairs growing from the previous procedure. The other crucial factor is to allow adequate time for the mobility to return to the donor area prior to having an additional procedure in order to eliminate tension in the new donor site.
